Buyers are more likely to make an offer on your house if they can imagine themselves living there. You can help! Here’s some quick tricks:
Make house anonymous before showing it. Pack away personal items like family photographs, mementos, and any decor that is more sentimental than decorative. This gives the house a clean look (and gives you a head-start on packing!)
Clean walls of fingerprints and stains. All lived-in homes get fingerprints and stains just from daily use. Check light switches and doors for dingy areas and clean them. Touch up the spots with paint, if needed.
Clear the garage. A clear garage not only makes it easier for a buyer to see the space, it gives the impression of being ready for them to move in quickly. You can move your stored items to an external storage space or shed.
Have a wonderful day and please let me know if you need anything.
