Do you find yourself constantly digging through cupboards to find the spoon you need, or juggling boxes as you put away groceries? A few simple tips could help you whip your kitchen into shape!
Install a small rail under the sink (a cheap curtain rail works just fine!) and hang cleaning products on it by the handle. You can also put products in a shoe organizer hung on the inside of a storage closet door. These methods keep your cleaning supplies in easy reach; no more shoving bottles around trying to find the one you need!
Hang larger utensils (such as wooden spoons, large knives, and colanders) on the walls for easy access and to free up space. You can arrange the items on display for a rustic look, or hang them up in practical places where you’re more likely to need them.
Keep bulk items like flour, sugar, and other staples in labeled stackable containers. There’s no need to get fancy with this system; plain plastic containers work just fine. Not only will this make it easy to organize and access your cabinet, but it will keep those items fresh for a much longer period of time.
If you’re short on cupboard space, put shelves out in the open to display your more decorative cups and plates. If you have a hodgepodge of interesting mugs, hang them on hooks and let guests pick one for their use when they come over.
Have a good one and let me know if you need anything.
