The kitchen is one of your home’s major selling points, so put it to work! By making your kitchen as appealing as possible to a buyer, the kitchen can do the selling for you. Here’s how to make your kitchen work for you:
Clean it. Consider hiring a professional service to do a deep-clean on the kitchen space. Every surface should be clean and sparkling. A fresh coat of paint will make cupboards look like new, and brighten the whole room. After a deep clean, the kitchen should be maintained regularly so it keeps that selling sparkle.
Banish odors. All strong odors should be avoided when preparing to sell a home. Try to avoid frying foods in the kitchen, and steer clear of meals with strong smells like fish or garlic. Use odor neutralizing spray instead of potpourri or scented candles, or get candles with gentle scents like “clean laundry” or “citrus.”
De-personalize. You want your buyers to be able to envision themselves in the house, and it’s easier to do that when personal items are packed away. Clear off the front of the refrigerator, and pack away mementos like photos and knickknacks that may not match the look of the space.
Accentuate. For a few dollars, you can pick up some brightly colored kitchen towels to hang on the oven door or other areas; not only will this brighten the look of the space, but it can give an impression of newness.
Have a wonderful day and please let me know if you need anything.
