One of the most stressful parts of selling your home is deciding what price to ask for it, but it doesn’t have to be!
Talk to realtors. Beware of agents who are“buying a listing,” or giving you an unreasonably high sales value for your home. While getting a high sales price is tempting, a realistic starting price makes your home attractive right out of the gate. A home that is listed too high may be passed over by agents and buyers, leaving it to sit on the market for months. A knowledgeable realtor can help you set a competitive price for your home.
Use price points to get your listing snagged in a wider net. First, talk to your realtor and find out what price ranges have been most active in your housing market recently. Set your price points accordingly, to get your listing snagged by the most searches possible.
Do a pre-inspection and/or pre-appraisal to help you get data to fairly determine the value of the property. This can also bring up issues with the home that can be fixed before it is placed on the market.
I hope you’re having a great day – let me know if you need anything.
