Most agents agree to reduce their fees. If you want to avoid a reduction, aggressively talk about your marketing to make sure you get full commission on list side. Remind the homeowners that the seller is paying the fees on the other side of their purchase. If they press for a reduction, say, “May I ask why you want to reduce the fees?” Try to flush out their values and concerns, and address them.
