Maintain the landscape, but don’t go overboard. Your lawn and foliage should be green and well-trimmed, but avoid over-landscaping. Aim for a look that is well-kept, but generic; new buyers may have their own ideas about how they want the yard to look.
Clear the clutter. Pack away all portable lawn equipment and furniture after each use, and make sure that all toys, bikes, and other items are out of sight from the street when not in use. If necessary, move items to a storage unit or shed. Equipment and furniture that cannot be moved (benches, porch swings, etc) should be kept in good repair and freshly painted, if possible.
