Statistics indicate that properties listed online with more than 6 good photos sell more quickly than properties with few or badly-composed photos. Here are some tips to get your property noticed!
If possible, hire a photographer. A good photographer will know how to light the interior of the house to its best advantage, and how to maximize the visual space.
If you are taking the photos yourself, use good lighting. Shoot during daytime and take advantage of as much natural light as possible. Use a digital camera so you can take as many photos as you need to. Take some test photos, and view them on the computer; do the rooms look dim? Bring in extra lamps if the room needs to be brighter.
Remove clutter and personal items. The rooms should look friendly, but anonymous. Packing scattered items away is a good way to clear the clutter, but you can simply move items around to keep them out of frame, if need be.
Pick a good angle. Take shots from several corners of the room to see what works the best. Choose an angle that makes the space look roomy and well-lit.
